Welcome to the Atlantic City Latino Festival, we are thrilled to host this free community event once again to kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival will be held on September 6, 2005, at the Showboat event lot at the Boardwalk and New Jersey Ave, in Atlantic City. We are happy to announce this year our featured headliner will be Los Adolescentes, a Venezuelan salsa group known for its romantic salsa style which has been very popular in Latin America. These songs are still widely played and enjoyed in Latin America and among salsa fans worldwide. They are often featured in compilations of classic salsa songs, including:

  • "Anhelo": This is one of their signature songs, a classic that really launched their popularity.

  • "Persona Ideal" (Me Tengo Que Ir): Another major hit that solidified their place in the salsa romantica scene.

  • "Virgen": A very popular and sensual salsa song.

  • "Aquel Lugar": A successful hit from their later period, showing their continued appeal.

Los Adolescentes will join a lineup of diverse Hispanic entertainment, including Mariachi, Salsa, Cumbia and Folkloric dance groups. The festive family event includes authentic Hispanic food and vendors. In addition, there will be organizations providing information and resources on health, social services, education, and career opportunities.  The community event is hosted by the Hispanic Association Of Atlantic County (HAAC) with the sponsorship of CRDA, Prudential PAC’s North 2 South, the City of Atlantic City and in collaboration community organizations and corporate sponsors.
